Children are very welcome at Belmar Spa & Beach Resort and the location of the resort, right on top of the beautiful Porto de Mos beach in Lagos, makes it a superb venue for family beach holidays in the Algarve.

Small children have a dedicated children’s paddling pool and older children can swim in the communal outdoor pools. The heated indoor pool within Belmar Spa & Fitness is available to children at designated times throughout the day.

To let off some steam, children are welcome to play tennis or football on the multipurpose sports pitch or use the playground.

To make your family holiday in the Algarve run smoothly, high chairs and travel cots are available to pre-hire for small children, as are extra beds (which may be a sofa bed) which are suitable for children up to 12 years old.

When you don’t wish to cater for yourself in your self-catering accommodation, the family can eat at Restaurante Levante. For pre-booked buffet breakfasts or half board options, children between 3 -12 years receive 50% discount, and children under 3 years go free of charge.

All accommodation at Belmar Spa & Beach Resort in Lagos is self-catering but we appreciate that you may not wish to cater for yourself every day when on holiday.

In fact we can arrange for a welcome food pack to be placed in your accommodation before you arrive so you are sure of having all the essentials in place.

We can even arrange for champagne and flowers to be placed in the apartment for a celebratory holiday.

The Lobby Bar is located in the main reception area of the aparthotel of Belmar Spa & Beach Resort, and serves drinks throughout the day, ideal for a mid morning coffee watching TV in the lounge or for a pre-dinner cocktail.

Restaurante Levante, also situated in the aparthotel, can seat up to 100 guests with a spacious terrace, which overlooks the outdoor pool areas and offers striking sea views. Restaurante Levante serves meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day (seasonal opening times) with a Mediterrean themed menu. À la carte dining is available as is a buffet breakfast and half board option. In addition, room service is available to guests staying in the apartments within the aparthotel.

Restaurante Levante is also the perfect venue for a private event such as a wedding reception, when our professional team will personalise a package for the bride and groom.

Belmar Spa & Fitness is at the heart of the resort and all guests on site have free use of the facilities.

The fitness zone comprises a state-of-the-art gymnasium and two exercise studios and the Fitness team offer gym instruction, a variety of fitness classes* and personal training*.

The social area offers a choice of Finnish style Sauna, aroma infused Turkish Bath, or relaxing Chromotherapy suite and Experience Showers equipped with a choice of varying jets, all situated near the heated indoor pool. Children under 16 years of age can use the indoor pool during designated times throughout the day. Adjoining the spa is an outdoor Jacuzzi and Hydrotherapy pool (seasonal opening).

Belmar Spa & Beach Resort comprises an aparthotel and two apartment clusters. The aparthotel offers studio, one and two bedroom apartments, and two bedroom duplex apartments, served by two communal swimming pools and a children’s paddling pool.

The apartment clusters have a mix of two and three bedroom apartments, and each cluster has its own communal pool. The fully equipped accommodation is of a high specification with luxurious interior design and includes satellite TV, DVD player, air conditioning and a fully equipped open plan kitchen.

The outdoor leisure area comprises a tennis court/multipurpose sports pitch and a children's playground.
