This Golf School combines the best of individual instruction with advanced training aspects for your game plus club fitting evaluation and a detailed plan for ongoing improvement on a take-home CD/DVD. This Golf School is booked for a minimum of two and a maximum of five students in the same session.

 

Golf School Package (3 day school / 4 nights)

The three day Golf School is an extension of the two day school with an extra day’s tuition designed to give you help in all aspects of your game. This Golf School is booked for a minimum of two and a maximum of four students in the same session.

 

Golf School Package (5 day school / 7 nights)

This Golf School is the ultimate in game improvement. The five day school consists of ten hours of comprehensive full swing and short game instruction, combined with fitness and the mental aspects of the game. This Golf School is booked for a minimum of two and a maximum of four students in the same session.

 

Golf School Details

All golf school packages offer two hour sessions per day and will cover the following areas:

• Review of the current state of your golf game with the instructor
• Player equipment check to make sure you have the proper equipment for your swing and club fitting evaluation
• Filming of your swing to identify the strengths and weaknesses
• Computer analysis of your swing using state of the art V1 analysis technology that makes it easy to spot where improvements can be made
• Once faults have been identified, the Instructor will work with you and prescribe corrective drills to help you develop the right feel
• As your lesson progresses and your swing improves, the Instructor will re-film your swing to help highlight your progress by showing your “before” and “after” swings on the V1 analysis software
• Short game (putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play)
• Each aspect begins with the Instructor giving a detailed presentation of how to effectively hit the shot
• Instructor will take the fundamentals learned with an iron and apply them to your driver and fairway woods
• Final CD/DVD with a customized improvement plan is provide for the student to take home
• 9 Hole competition at the Amendoeira Academy Pitch & Putt Course

Additionally the 5 day Golf School includes preparation for playing on the course, including development of a proper pre-shot routine, mental thoughts and images plus other game improving techniques.

Amendoeira Golf Resort accommodation is all self-catering but we have a number of food and meal options.

We can supply a welcome food pack to be placed in your accommodation before you arrive so you are sure of having all the essentials in place:

• The Essential food pack contains fruit juice, milk, bottle of wine, beer, bread, butter, ham, cheese, jam, honey, fruit, tea, coffee, sugar and bottled water.
• The Standard food pack is the Essential plus sausages, bacon, eggs, cooking oil, salt and crisps.

We can even arrange for champagne and flowers to be placed in the apartment for a special occasion.

The Amendoeira Clubhouse is in the centre of the resort and has a large restaurant & bar and inviting lounge area with large TV. The restaurant opens at 7.00am and serves all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner. Golfers can purchase drinks and snacks from the golf buggy bar which goes around the golf courses regularly and post-golf drinks can be enjoyed on the spacious terrace which has stunning views over the golf courses or at the greenside spike bar on the lower terrace.

Guests who use the Amendoeira Sports Club for recreational sports can purchase drinks and snacks from the Sports Bar in the main sports club building. There are three 42” plasma TVs showing the main sports channels so you don’t need to miss out on any sports events, or you can enjoy your well deserved drink on the outdoor terrace area.

The Amendoeira Clubhouse is also the perfect venue for a private event such as a wedding reception or private party when our professional team will personalise a package to meet your needs. The Sports Bar at the Amendoeira Sports Club is also idea for informal meetings such as for corporate groups, for up to 40 delegates.

The Amendoeira Sports Club has a wide range of sporting facilities for sporting enthusiasts and families wanting an active holiday in Portugal. These facilities are available free of charge for guests staying at the Amendoeira Golf Resort:

• Two Astroturf five-a-side football pitches (made to FIFA standards) of 26m x 48m
• Six Savannah tennis courts (two floodlit*)
• 1km jogging track
• Fully equipped gymnasium with Technogym weight resistance and cardiovascular training equipment

The Amendoeira Sports Club also houses Reception, the Sports Bar and shop. The Sports Bar has three large TVs, a pool table and ping-pong table and offers drinks and snacks throughout the day.

The shop offers a selection of golf and football merchandise, and equipment can be hired from Reception at nominal rates: tennis rackets and balls and footballs.

Tennis lessons* are available with our tennis coach on a one-to-one or group basis. Personal training* is also available in the gymnasium and a physiotherapist* can be arranged if you require specific sports massage.

Note: There is a full size football pitch but this is reserved for professional team training only. When professional teams are on site, access to the gymnasium may be at restricted hours. The 9 hole Oceanico Academy course is located near the Amendoeira Sports Club – charges apply.

The Amendoeira Golf Resort is located in the central Algarve making it a perfect base for exploring the host of leisure activities in the area with your children. We can book a variety of things to do including water amusement parks such as Slide ‘n’ Splash and AquaShow, Zoomarine, horse riding and boat trips to view the caves .

The apartment complexes are served by children’s paddling pools and large communal pools and all villas have their own private pool. Energetic children can enjoy time at the children’s playground, play tennis on one of the six tennis courts at the Amendoeira Sports Club and private tennis coaching can be arranged, or can have a kick around on the 5-a-side Astroturf football pitches.

High chairs and travel costs are available to pre-hire for small children. There are various sleeping options in all of the accommodation types, which all have a sofa bed in addition to standard beds.

If you wish to eat at the main Clubhouse restaurant or on the spacious terrace with stunning views over the golf courses, buffet breakfasts and half board options can be pre-booked. Children between 3-12 years receive 50% discount and children under 3 years of age go free of charge.
